How to Avoid a High Tech Stuff-Up: The Start-Up Mistakes You Don’t Want to Make

My goal in writing this book is to help other entrepreneurs avoid the mistakes I made with a high-tech start-up I began that what would become a sports wearable business. I ended up surviving the experience and selling my company, but along the way I made many errors. I thought that if I could set these all down, succinctly, I could help aspiring entrepreneurs to make one less mistake on their own journeys.

The book is broken down into several parts:

YOU – In these chapters we address why you want to start such a business and the potentially perilous journey you are about to undertake.

YOUR STRATEGY – In these chapters we address business planning, setting up your company to maximise success and the all important raising funds.

YOUR PEOPLE – In these chapters we look at who you need to come along on your journey – from staff to investors.

YOUR BUSINESS – How do you want your business to be seen by others? ensuring your business strategy is robust and is capable of taking you where you want to go.

YOUR NEXT STEP – If you are fortunate enough to make enough of a success of your business that you might have a buyer – some things to look out for if you decide to go down that path.
